Kenya Teaching Trip - Day 4 | How Can You Pray?

This Thanksgiving day, please pray for our teaching team and their families, Jeremy, Bill, David, and Burnie, as they are in Kenya.

From Wednesday, November 23:

Jeremy and I had the day off from teaching today. We travelled to Karatina, where we will spend the next two days teaching pastors and church leaders. Peter Kamawu has been translating for us this week despite the fact that he had a death in the family and has to help with the planning for the funeral. We had the opportunity to eat lunch with his family today in Nyeri. His wife Elizabeth and his two sons, Joseph and Joshua were very lovely and we enjoyed our time with them. I think it was an encouraging time for Elizabeth, who has been busy with funeral plans all week.

We met Pastor Benson upon arrival in Karatina this afternoon and he is planning for a good group to attend the conference. We are praying that God will use our teaching to encourage and challenge the churches in this area. I was reminded again how important these trips are earlier this week. Pastor Julius told us that he would be teaching all the material from the conference in Sipili to his people. It is humbling to know that God sees fit to use us as a part of his plan to build the church in central Kenya. We covet your prayers as we teach the next two days.

Please pray for the teaching team.  Please pray for Joseph, his wife Elizabeth, and his family as they prepare to say goodbye to a family member.
