David and I just finished our first full day in
Sipili. We started our conference this morning with 16 pastors and leaders from
Sipili Baptist Church and other churches within the local association. We did
an expository preaching from Colossians 1 then began teaching on spiritual
gifts and how they fit within the unity of the church. The pastor of SBC is
Julius. He is eager to learn and excited to host us at his church. The
community is primarily a farming society as this area provides all of the corn
for the entire nation. We will continue teaching tomorrow about strategic
leadership and the importance of how to plan.
Please pray for the local pastors
and leaders. Pray that God would provide a way for them to make it. Also pray that
our material would be relevant and that the Holy Spirit would use it to have an
impact on their ministries.
