Nasha FAQs | Part 2

In yesterday's post, we answered some questions about Nasha, what it means, and how any size of a donation can help.  Today, we'll answer a couple of questions regarding ways you can be and stay involved.

How can I keep up with the entrepreneur I choose to support?
Each of our entrepreneurs is a real person with real ideas and a real story. We want you to be invested in their lives. We are currently in the process of creating a regular newsletter for each of our entrepreneurs. However, until that is completed, please feel free to check our website www.NashaLending.org for updates on each entrepreneur. In addition, email updates are provided to donors throughout the loan cycle.

Many of our entrepreneurs can be seen around Greenville and South Carolina doing home repairs, home inspections, taking pictures at the Miss South Carolina pageant, and selling bread at various farmers markets so you may just run into them as you are around town!

Where do you find entrepreneurs and how do you qualify them?

There is no specific formula or organization that we pursue to find entrepreneurs. We have entrepreneurs from a variety of backgrounds that come to us in a variety of ways. We desire to have a sponsoring organization. Some come from the YWCA and the Dream Catchers program, others come from Miracle Hill’s Overcomers program, and some find us on their own.

To qualify for a Nasha loan, you must be unbankable, for whatever reason. Entrepreneurs who simply do not want bank debt or have not exhausted all other options will not qualify. Once an entrepreneur has been identified without the means of other sources of funding, we will initiate a review of the business concept and the borrower. A recommendation is made to the Nasha Lending Board. If selected, we will introduce the entrepreneur to the church as an official entrepreneur and begin funding.

We are constantly looking for under resourced entrepreneurs.  If you know someone who qualifies, or if you would like to make a donation, please let us know by visiting our website www.NashaLending.org and clicking under the entrepreneur tab to fill out the application.
